MINI is proud to be an Official Partner of Team GB and ParalympicsGB on their journey to London 2012. MINI is now getting right behind British athletes, via our Performance Team. MINI dealers like us will be pairing up with local athletes, supporting their endeavours to qualify for Team GB or ParalympicsGB.

We are really chuffed to announce that we are now supporting local hockey player, Beth Storry, as she attempts to qualify for the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Reading-born Beth trains locally at the Reading Hockey Club. She has been in goal since the age of 12 and in 2003 she got her first senior international cap at the Champions Trophy in Macau. She won a bronze medal at the 2006 Commonwealth Games and bronze again at the 2010 World Cup. She was also honoured with the Goalkeeper of the Tournament award.

“This is just so great,” said Beth. “I can’t thank Cooper Reading and MINI enough. I spend a lot of time driving to and from training sessions and driving to events ahead of London 2012 so having a brand new car is amazing. Suddenly, I’m the envy of all my friends!”

Frank Stassi, Dealer Principal at Cooper Reading, said: “Getting behind our local London 2012 hopeful is a great opportunity for everyone connected with Cooper Reading to get involved with London 2012. Everyone in Reading is very proud of Beth and will be over the moon should she qualify next year. We’re hoping to see more of Beth here at the dealership and will be giving customers the chance to meet her later in the year.”
